What, exactly, are we inspecting on your roof?

A routine roof inspection is a proactive approach to catch signs of roof damage or leaking “before” the roof starts to actually leak.

Ultimately, we are looking for anything that shows signs of leaking or anything that will be leaking in the near future even if it isn’t leaking yet.

SHINGLES:
The first thing we inspect is the actual shingles themselves. We are looking for natural granule loss to determine the approximate age of the shingles. We look for torn or missing shingles that might be caused by wind damage as well as shingles that have a broken seal from straight line winds.

Hail does the same amount of damage to a shingle that it does to the hood of a car but it takes a trained professional to check for it. We check for hail damage and bruising on the shingles. We also check for significant damages to all of the roof flashings, metal, siding, windows, and gutters.
