Do you need to present during the inspection?

ROOFING CONTRACTOR INSPECTION

The simple answer is yes, you should be home. Rest easy knowing that you do not need to provide any assistance for the inspection in regards to climbing the roof.

You should definitely be present if you are calling about a leaking roof. Sometimes the roof needs to be inspected from inside the attic space. Other times, we will need to inspect the interior of the home and look at wet or damaged ceilings and walls.

Most importantly, after the inspection we give you all of our feedback from the inspection. If there is no damages or areas of concern, we simply explain that to you and put your mind at ease.

However, if there are damages of concern, we take lots of detailed photos and share them with you. From there, we explain what would be involved with either repairing the roof or replacing the roof.

There are no obligations to use our company what so ever and there are still no costs to you.

What, exactly, are we inspecting on your roof?

A routine roof inspection is a proactive approach to catch signs of roof damage or leaking “before” the roof starts to actually leak.

Ultimately, we are looking for anything that shows signs of leaking or anything that will be leaking in the near future even if it isn’t leaking yet.

SHINGLES:
The first thing we inspect is the actual shingles themselves. We are looking for natural granule loss to determine the approximate age of the shingles. We look for torn or missing shingles that might be caused by wind damage as well as shingles that have a broken seal from straight line winds.

Hail does the same amount of damage to a shingle that it does to the hood of a car but it takes a trained professional to check for it. We check for hail damage and bruising on the shingles. We also check for significant damages to all of the roof flashings, metal, siding, windows, and gutters.

 What happens after the inspection?

It’s simple a conversation.

We will go over the condition of your roof and share our thoughts with you. You will get that peace of mind you’re looking for if this is a routine maintenance inspection and we find that your roof is in tip top shape.

If there are any issues with your roof, we will share some photos with you and make a recommendation that you are 100% not obligated to move forward with in any way. The inspection hassle free, no cost, and there are no obligations to use our company, or follow through with any of our recommendations. We will always respect your decision and do everything we possibly can to help you.

If you have a small leak that we can repair for you, we will give a estimate.

If you have severe damage from catastrophic storm including wind or hail, we will put our expertise to work and help guide you through the entire process from A - Z of working with your insurance company to get a full roof replacement.
